Community Cat Coalition of Clark County (C5) is a Las Vegas, Nevada-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of feral and free-roaming cats through trap-neuter-return (TNR) programs. Founded by a small group of volunteers in 2009, C5 operates throughout the Las Vegas Valley to humanely reduce cat overpopulation and support healthy community cats remaining in their outdoor homes.
What They Do
C5 is an all-volunteer organization that provides trap, neuter, and return (TNR) programs to prevent unnecessary euthanasia of healthy feral and free-roaming cats. Cats are trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to colony caretakers, who provide food, water, and shelter. Since June 2009, C5 has trapped 63,204 cats through its TNR efforts. C5 uses TNR and education to reduce euthanasia and free up animal control and shelter resources for adoptable animals.
Feral and free-roaming cats often live in colonies, with colony caretakers supporting their ongoing care. C5 volunteers work with community residents who need TNR services, coordinating trapping, transportation, pre-surgery care, and post-surgery recovery. Through education, TNR, and advocacy, C5 seeks to reduce the number of feral and free-roaming cats euthanized in Clark County while promoting peaceful coexistence between cats and the communities where they live.
Volunteers include trappers, stagers, and phone coordinators who assist with trapping projects, cat care, and TNR requests from residents. Your donation also funds the resources needed to support colony caretakers and return treated cats to their outdoor homes. C5’s volunteers work with community residents throughout Clark County to provide TNR services and education. Free vehicle pickup is included, and your donation is 100% tax-deductible.
