We are an all-volunteer organization helping needy women in Montgomery County, Maryland, who are facing crisis pregnancies, and their children, by providing practical support, including cribs, strollers, clothing, grocery cards, diapers, formula, and other needed items.
The Gabriel Project Cluster of Montgomery County, Maryland is an all-volunteer nonprofit that provides practical, emotional, and spiritual support to women facing crisis pregnancies, and their children. Founded in 2014, the organization has grown into one of the county’s main sources of hands-on help for new and expecting mothers.
The Gabriel Project Cluster helps low-income pregnant women and families in Montgomery County with concrete support during and after pregnancy. Its assistance includes cribs, strollers, clothing, grocery cards, diapers, formula, car seats, baby gear, and other items that ease the pressure on mothers caring for young children.
In 2024, the organization assisted more than 400 low-income women and their families. That support included more than 130,000 diapers, 2,165 containers of baby wipes, over $17,000 in grocery gift cards, 241 cribs and mattresses, 394 containers of infant formula, and 212 car seats provided through an arrangement with Montgomery County Fire & Rescue.
The organization also relies on volunteers to keep this work personal and hands-on. “Angel Friend” volunteers support client mothers, while other volunteers assemble and deliver cribs, pick up and deliver donations, pray for client families, and help with outreach efforts such as diaper, formula, and baby gear drives.
