Camp Sunshine provides retreats combining respite, recreation and support, while enabling hope and promoting joy, for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families through the various stages of a child’s illness.
2BU Youth Ranch believes that all children are at risk in today’s environment. The ranch’s program utilizes horses to teach values of faith, trust, responsibility, and acceptance. The program also offers a hands-on approach with one youth, one horse, and one leader. The ranch’s mission is to promote faith, healing, hope and trust for youth with horses. We believe that each youth is unique and will come to the Ranch for his or her unique needs. Each session will be tailored to meet the individual needs, restore the heart and soul, and develop the strength of each child.
Energy Outreach Colorado was established in 1989 as the only non-profit, 501(c)3 in the state that raises funds to help thousands of low-income Coloradans afford home energy and remain warm and safe in their homes. With the help of partner assistance organizations and subcontractors across the state, we provide heating bill assistance, emergency home furnace repair and grants to improve the energy efficiency of non-profit and affordable housing facilities.
All volunteer and foster home-based, we rescue abandoned and homeless cats & kittens, socialize, spay/ neuter, and treat medically as needed to ready them for adoption by new families. Special needs cats are often accepted. Community outreach includes temporary care for cats when their humans are in abusive or homeless situations, a small food bank helps keep cats in their homes when possible.
