2BU Youth Ranch is a nonprofit located in the foothills of Mt. Spokane that helps youth ages 8–18 find faith, healing, and hope through horsemanship and mentorship. Founded in 2011 by Nancy Wolf, the ranch offers a safe, supportive environment where children can grow in confidence and trust while working with horses.
What They Do
At 2BU Youth Ranch, every child is paired with one horse and one dedicated mentor, creating a hands-on experience that fosters responsibility, acceptance, and resilience. The ranch runs four six-week sessions each year, with weekly 90-minute lessons that blend foundational horsemanship training, barn chores, and one-on-one mentorship. These sessions build practical life skills – hard work, accountability, and care for living things – while offering emotional healing through the unique bond between youth and horses. Participants are welcomed into a peaceful mountain setting where they can reconnect with nature and find genuine encouragement.
The ranch’s mission is to provide accessible mentorship and horsemanship programs that nurture confidence, responsibility, and hope in young people. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (Tax ID: 27-2914280), 2BU Youth Ranch ensures that no child is turned away due to financial need. While families who are able may contribute a suggested session fee, the organization remains committed to serving all youth regardless of circumstance. With strong community support, the ranch continues to make a lasting difference in the lives of local children and families.
