Camp Sunshine provides hope, joy and community through unique experiences for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. At its pristine campus on Sebago Lake in Casco, Maine, more than 60,000 children, siblings, parents and caregivers from all 50 states and 27 countries have come together for fun-filled, year-round sessions with families just like theirs. And, thanks to the incredible support of donors and volunteers, programs are 100% free. Camp Sunshine is a Casco, Maine-based nonprofit that provides free, year-round retreat programs for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. What Camp Sunshine Does
Camp Sunshine (Tax ID: 22-2582877) is a family-focused retreat that brings together children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate family members for structured, supportive sessions held throughout the year. Families stay on Camp Sunshine’s residential campus in private suites with basic accommodations, with meals provided on-site and shared dining that fosters a sense of community. Parents may also take part in guided discussion groups for peer support, while children engage in structured activities under supervision. Medical support is available throughout each session, with nearby hospitals and urgent care facilities providing additional coverage when needed. The program is offered at no cost to families and is sustained through donor support and volunteer involvement.
