Mission:
Improving and empowering the community by meeting everyday needs
The Real Word Ministries, or TRWM, is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit founded in 2018 that provides practical community assistance, education, mentoring, media outreach, and family-focused programs. Its work centers on low-income residents and families in Brooklyn, New York, with services that address food security, health information, youth development, and basic needs.
The Real Word Ministries serves Brooklyn residents through a mix of direct assistance, education, mentoring, and community media. The Real Word TV gives the ministry a public platform for discussions on current events, global history, politics, religious news, and social issues, with programming shared through Facebook Live, YouTube, and cable television.
Families facing health and financial challenges can turn to the ministry for information about Medicaid, insurance, mental health care, spiritual counseling, and health screenings. It meets other everyday needs through annual turkey drives, church partnerships, food pantry donations, and coats and clothing for local shelters.
Through Family Renaissance Ministry, the organization works with low-income families facing issues such as gang violence, school dropout, teenage pregnancy, incarceration, family struggles, suicide, and juvenile delinquency. Counseling and empowerment workshops give young people guidance as they grow, make better choices, and become positive influences in their communities.
The Real Word Ministries Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with Tax ID 82-2845682. For more details about its programs, media work, donation options, and community outreach, you may head over to TRWM’s official website here.
